    1. I ve really loved this series and now it has drawn to a close with Dominion I am actually quite distraught It has been entirely brilliant start to finish, engaging, intense, amazing characters and a gorgeously imagined mythology I can only hope that these two writers do together Oh if wishing made it so I m not going to talk too much about plot because I m sure that there are readers out there still to discover this series but in basic terms we have an Earth run by alien conquerers, a rebellion [...]

    2. The Book Chapter Once I had devoured Empire book 2 I was in need of the third and final book immediately I needed to see how it would all end for Syl, Paul, Ani, Steven and even the Archmage Syrene A couple weeks ago I emailed the lovely Elizabeth to find out a release day Sometime later I, alongside all the other Chronicles Champions, received a review copy and I had devoured straight away it and literally could not come up with a single coherent sentence but now I am, so bare with me guys Domi [...]

    3. The CHRONICLES OF THE INVADERS by John Connolly and Jennifer Ridyard comes to a satisfying conclusion with Dominion, the final book of the trilogy We get a post apocalyptic survival story on earth, an off planet prison break, space battles, and political skullduggery and espionage in the halls of the Nairene Sisterhood Each character faces multiple layers of jeopardy as the story comes to a close, and it s not certain that everyone we like will live.In the past, the Illyri invaded and conquered [...]

    4. Thank you Netgallery for the opportunity to sample John Connolly s third book in the Chronicles of the Invaders Dominion.John Connolly is one of the finest authors of suspense today with his Charlie Parker series. This series, written with Jennifer Ridyard, is a combination of science fiction and fantasy that followers of these novels will definitely enjoy. This is well written with developed characters that help the reader visualize a unreal reality.Defintely don t miss this one very good.

    5. This is apparently the second book in a series, but was well written enough that I was able to follow everything without having read the preceding book A little too similar to Dune i.e galactic space opera, egotistical rulers, secretive sisterhood society.

    6. This was a good conclusion to an entertaining series though this one had less action than I was expecting I did like that all the story lines converged and their was a satisfying ending.4 stars for a fun read and recommended for all reading this series.

    7. A solid YA SciFi series This finale is jam packed with action and tying up loose ends The ending is fitting but a little rushed 3.5 stars.

    8. Out of the trilogy, I will admit that this one is my least favorite By the last third of the book it felt like the authors had given up on meaningful dialogue altogether almost like they didn t know what to say for many conversations between characters so many things were just straight up weird for me and didn t really flow together There were many slow moments in the book and the final battle was too abstract for my liking I felt a disconnect from all the characters in this book when I didn t f [...]

    9. great Sci Fi read This is the 3 in a trilogy and I have not read the first two but this book stands alone Has all the correct sci fi elements.ns, catastrophic loss of life, planet busting, space ships.excellent I shall now find the first two and read them.

    10. This is an enjoyable, though derivative, bit of space opera and coming of age book Somehow I missed the middle volume but there was enough exposition on that book to that there were no plot holes least for me.

    11. I was not as engaged as I would have liked Even at the end of the book, I basically knew what was going to happen and the details of it did not catch my interest.

    12. Nicely done A great face paced read when you just want to enjoy a good story without having to think too much.

    13. A good faster paced wrap up to the story The characters are Disney deep but the interactions with the alien benefactors are well done The best of the three

    14. The final volume of the Chronicles trilogy brings to a climax the adventures of two earthling brothers and two young alien girls which began in Conquest and continued in Empire Paul Kerr and Syl Hellais are reunited and follow separate paths to the end, while younger brother Steven Kerr matures and plays a vital role as well Meanwhile, Ani, the other Illyri female, remains within the Sisterhood where she learns the truth which Syl learned much earlier, and schemes to take control of the Nairenes [...]

    15. Reviews can also be found on my blog Escapades of a Bookworm Thank goodness this book has finally come around I ve been eagerly waiting to see how everything will be resolved and how everyone doesn t die Because lets be honest, that is what matters, also I spent the majority of my time reading this, absolutely convinced that the situation could only end badly Terrible of me I know, but this is how I honestly felt.I did like that we started with an prologue about what had happened in the previous [...]

    16. I ve really enjoyed this series As I started this one up audio download, as were the first two my first thought was wait something has changed Different narrator It wasn t really an obvious change, still very good, still heavy accents very similar, but I did notice And whereas Syl and Paul were separated in most of book 2 so we were jumping between the two different storylines the jump seemed even distant here, as we followed Syl, Paul, and their crew, then back to earth and the stars for the o [...]

    17. This trilogy had much to offer and often delivered in spades My biggest issue was the emphasis on its YA niche The first book wasn t so bad with the inevitable teen romance in a Romeo and Juliet vein being kicked off but with a decent resistance vs invaders backdrop which had been skilfully written The second book was darker and there was less of an emphasis on the youth of the protagonists and the age of the antagonists The ages were almost irrelevant which was good because you became invested [...]

    18. An excellent finale to a well written, engaging and entertaining trilogy The authors pulled everything together very nicely and managed to include a couple of surprises.

    19. Competent finale to a good space opera for young adults A little formulaic and trite by the end, but well done overall The good guys prevail, but not without sacrifices The Cayth provide intelligence and advanced weapons that allow Steven and his team to rendezvous with the Military and Ani as the new Archmage Syl s powers keep expanding until she is powerful enough to confront the ultimate Other The Corps and the Securitat are unable to withstand all their opponents as the Civil War comes to an [...]

    20. This is the final part of The Chronicles of Invaders series The book continues where the second book left off and would not stand well on it s own I would recommend reading the previous books before starting this one.The story moves at a furious pace and makes i difficult to put down the book The book moves around between places and characters but the way it does that is masterful, with focus shifts that don t ruin the immersion. The book is pretty lean and, at times, it feels like there could ha [...]

    21. I received this book for free from Giveaways in exchange for an honest review. This was fun.More of a nitty gritty than most of the young fiction these days It s extremely well written, with great characters My only real grievance is that it s a little difficult to follow if you haven t read the others in the series, but I picked up what was going on soon enough.Definitely makes me want to start at the beginning and read the rest

    22. I enjoyed the story for the most part but the ending felt really rushed to me I don t think it s possible to tie so many lose ends up within 50 pages and indeed it didn t completely work Oh, and that last sentence really annoyed me I m becoming incredibly tired of view spoiler HEA endings where the woman is suddenly pregnant hide spoiler However it was a solid final book in The Chronicles of the Invaders and I ve enjoyed the series.

    23. I really really loved the series as a whole but I have to say that despite the solid foundation that the second book gave us, this one felt rushed It s like they only had so many pages and felt that they needed to finish I would much rather there have been a fourth book or rather the extra 200 pages the story deserved All in all I don t have too many complaints Great story, loved every minute of it.

    24. 2 1 2 starsI ve been reading a lot of science fiction lately, but I think this one went a bit too far for me Different worldsships. It was ok Maybe I would have liked it if I had read the previous 2 books Turns out this is 3 in a series But there is absolutely no hint of that on the cover It wasn t until I read one of the author s bios that I found out.
